What Beauty should be.
Madam Merriam defined Beauty as the quality of being physically attractive.Does being beautiful only stops there?
My face has gone through a lot of looks. I mean, makeup made this possible haha.
To be beautiful, you don't need to wait for someone to call you that. YOU, yourself should believe it. Because that is the truth. Beauty is definitely not just about being gorgeous, nor intelligent, even being a talented person. No. This is not about the impression of others. This is about how you project confidence.
Confidence comes from these things:
1. Relationship to other people
How you treat other people gives a big impact on how you see yourself. Personality is often reflected on how you look. But always be careful, some has the talent to look so innocent, but is actually a bitch on the inside. Being kind and generous is really fulfilling. Such satisfaction is really hard to explain. But being too kind to other people is another story. Always leave something for yourself. That is SELF RESPECT. See to it that your kindness is not abused. Show the good side of you, but establish an impression that you are not a slave to anyone. Know your worth :)
2. Knowing oneself and understanding such
All moms say "You are beautiful anak". That's not just because of the fact that you are her daughter. That is definitely because your mother knows you well. Knowing yourself is very important. We may not know ourselves completely, but we know our weaknesses, and our limitations. And we have to acknowledge such. However, on the other hand, we know what we're good at, we know our capabilities. So you have that confidence in you that you can say "I have something to be proud of". Understanding yourself truly makes you satisfied, instead of craving for more. And always remember, satisfaction is our way to a peaceful life.
Lastly,
3. Acceptance
We all have our flaws. But a woman, will accept it. We may all have our insecurities, but that's fine. Time will come, where you will overcome that, but it may take bravery, courage to do so. Honestly speaking, your Ambassadress just gained weight. I got bigger due to a fact that I have been stress eating these past few days. It was a big adjustment on my part, and I wasn't able to cope up easily with such adjustment I have to have in school. I stopped my trainings, and failed to visit the gym since then. I can't even have a home workout session because i'm too busy with paperworks. My uniforms are already tight for me. My eyebags has even grown. And without make up? I look like a zombie haha. But I never pressured myself about it. Because I accept myself even if I'm already fat, don't look fresh, and things like that. I still believe that I am beautiful.
Applying makeup everyday has been my routine already. But with or without makeup, I am confident. Because I know my worth, I know myself, I understand myself, and I accept any flaws that I have.
To show this confidence, I commit myself to a 5-DAY-NO MAKE UP CHALLENGE. This is to encourage women, to bring out the confidence in them, unlock that Strong personality, and to show to everyone that you are beautiful! IF YOU WANT TO BE CONFIDENT, SUPPORT THIS MOVEMENT.I'm inviting every woman, especially those who are makeup driven women. Let us show to everyone that makeup didn't made us beautiful. It is our heart that made us beautiful. This movement shall start on February 20, and will end on February 24.
“Beauty from the inside starts from the heart but beauty from outside is just a physical appearance. In the end, what matters is…beauty in the inside will radiate outside because a true queen does not want just a beautiful face or golden crown but a true queen also possess a golden heart.“
