To all next gens of their family business

Everybody talks about successful people who worked hard for themselves. Those who hustle for their own brand name. Oh, how proud others are. And I am too. But nobody talks about the 2nd generation or further in a family business, who hustle the same way and worked hard not for themselves but for their family. Not a lot of people are proud of them, but for sure, their parents are. So am I too.  Yes, they are blessed to just follow and continue what has been established. Most people think there's not too much work anymore because a system is set, quality is known, clients exist already, and all they have to do is to maintain and sustain which are easy to do. I tell you, to fit into someone else's shoes is 10x harder than you think it is. Family pressure is unending. Not to mention leaving animosity between your family at work as you have family meals together is another challenge. It is easier to work with other people as there is a clear line between a professional relationship

Life Botanist

You found your prince charming once more. Or so you thought. You find comfort in him, true. You've always been honest with him, like not a single lie you made, true. You tell him everything and everything, not a single detail left, true. You feel at your best when talking to him, true. Brought out the rational side of you, so true. But that's not until you hurt yourself for having that fantasy again. He's no toad, I should say. The prince charming you've always wanted when you were still a little girl. The kind of prince who has always been your knight and shining armor. Always there to understand even the most confusing time of your life. He never left, true. But you did. You two have been perfect. Not a serious argument ever happened within that 6-year-happy-tea party you have together. Fireworks shoot up the sky when you were officially together. You know how deadly it could be to be in that kind of relationship. You knew it baby girl, but you took the risk. Now, l

Thank 2019 for the bad times.

Photo by: Duane Japeth BiƱas Yes, 2019 has been by far the worst year of your life. You broke up with your boyfriend in the early month of the year. Well, that's quite a welcoming for the new year girl. You aren't quite sure when you will be ready again. You often ask yourself, Why am I not enough? What is really my fate? Well, guess what? No one knows. And that's okay. You had to face a big adjustment from being a student to being a professional. Less time for yourself. More time for your career. No more workout. No more usual activities you had before. Less sleep. And that's okay. You experience an introduction to adulting life. The time when you realize that the only person there for you is yourself. Most of the time, you give yourself to others by comforting, listening, and sharing yourself. People are getting worried about how much you've taken yourself for granted just to be there for others. And then you learn, - To forgive- When people denie

How Netflix became helpful to me as a Christian

Image
Netflix has been widely used by a lot. It is because of its accessibility and the numerous movies and TV shows streamed. It's primary purpose is to entertain. But Netflix is really something more than the typical films we see on TV Cables, and even on Youtube. The first docu-series that I finished was "The Roman Empire". It was explained here how the empire was ran by Emperor Marcus, followed by his son, Emperor Commodus. And really, there was a clear distinction by the two. But what really had my heart was the term of Julius Caesar. It was him who fought his way up again after the downfall of his family. It was him who conquered many nations for the Glory of Rome. He may have been ambitious, but during his rule, he was a great leader.  In the history of Christianity. The cross had a different impression before. It all started when Julius Caesar crucified those who joined the slavery revolution headed by Spartacus. When the rebels lost the fight, no

"Thy will be done"

Image
We often hear this in prayers, until we learn to say this everytime we pray as well. But what does it really mean when you say "Thy will be done"? What word pops up in your head when you hear this? Faith! That's right. Tita Merriam (Charot! My tita is a dictionary HAHA) defined faith as a strong belief or trust in someone, and a belief in the existence of God: strong religious feelings or beliefs. In these definitions alone, it is clear that faith is having trust to God. TRUST here is not the "I trust that the Lord will make me the top of the class", or the "I trust him for letting me win in this competition", or the "I trust God for not allowing him to cheat on me". But rather, I'm talking about saying "I trust you Lord for bringing out the best of me in a humble way, a top student or not, your will be done" "I trust him for helping me please the audience, win or lose, your will be done" " I trust

His daughter did instead, I'm sure of it haha!) So this is the new Peripera product. It's a korean product. Trust me, I'm not a fan of Kpop or Kdrama, but I'm a make up addict(hehe). This comes in 2 colors, which is pink and yellow, and I got the yellow one. This comes with stickers Sooo, I decided to put the stickers in the front for it to look cute! <3 TADAAA!! When you open the cutie luggage, you will find miniature bottles of lip and cheek liptints, concealer, and contour from Peripera. 1.) Peripera Airy Ink Velvet (No. 5 Elf Light Rose in 2.7 grams)             This is a matte lip tint. Santa Clause: Real or Not?

Image
Christmas has always been one of the most awaited season of the year. The will to share that brings warmth in our hearts will always be remembered until the next years. Christmas is indeed more than just Christmas trees, Christmas decorations, Gift (material) giving, but it's more about the experience, and the ultimate happiness that will always stay with you for a lifetime. My friends have always teased me back in highschool for being defensive of Santa Clause's existence. I argued and will always do until my last breath (haha rowts grabe na) that Santa Clause is real. If you're asking me why, the answer is simple. HE IS MY CHILDHOOD LOVE! I can't relate to facebook posts showing kids playing bato-lata and the likes, with the caption "Naaalala niyo pa ba to mga batang 90s?". I don't have much childhood friends from the neighborhood. All of it simply because I stay at home and play with dolls whose names are my favorite. However, there is someone w
